| IMPORTANT: DO NOT POST DISCUSSIONS ABOUT CHANGES BELOW!!!! Please PM Calla Lily if you need names changed, would like to add a pony, or if you find a mistake, and ask Calla, Vinyl Dash, or butterfly if you have a question. Thank you!
1. You may use all your oc's, which makes this thread special. There is a max of 24 tributes in this game and 10 initial gamekeepers and sponsors.
2.No posting order, to make this fair.
3. You must PM or talk to me in the chat to put ponies in the game.
4. No overly gory situations.
5. To make this fair, the earth ponies are very strong. Unicorns are weaker, and only non-fatal spells are permitted. No healing spells. Pegasi may fly to a maximum height of ten feet off the ground, and are weaker than the earth ponies, but stronger than the unicorns. Crystal Ponies are stronger than the earth ponies, but are slower. Saddle Arabians are fast, but have weak legs that are easily broken. Changelings follow the same rules as Unicorns and Pegasi, and are the weakest of the group. They may not change into other things that put them into power play. Any other nonstandard is to be discussed in the Chatbox or by PM.
6. The weapons system follows the Hunger Games. No guns, explosives are only found buried around the tribute plates. Weapons include: Bows, Swords, Knives, Maces, Blunt Objects, Axes, Poisons, Nooses, Ninja Stars, etc. If you have a weapon idea, please PM me or talk with me in the chatbox.
7. NO POWER PLAY PERMITTED. Ponies will randomly be assigned to Districts. Districts 1, 2, and 4 are known as career districts, meaning they are USUALLY the ones who win, and they each get 45 SPECIAL. That's all.
8. Unlike the Hunger Games, the gender difference does not have to be even.
9. Try not to get killed in the initial bloodbath!
10. Once all of your ponies are dead, you become either a sponsor or a gamekeeper. You mat take your turn at the end of every rotation. You are the only ponies with power over the arena.
11. Vinyl Dash and butterfly will be posting situations as Gamekeepers Onyx and Iris. These are not turns, but are NPC actions or setting changes, such as: Fireballs shoot from the trees. These will be in italics. She will also post the outcomes of fights, to be determined by dice. The norm would be half-and half, but the situation can vary the odds of a death or dodge or wound.
12. Remember to form alliances. Being solitary has disadvantages, and these games work better when you are in groups. The Careers automatically have alliances with each other. Remember, though, that only one can win, so you will have to turn on your allies eventually.
13. NO DUAL SUICIDES!!!! We will not allow it! If you attempt suicide with another, we will kill one of you and make the other a winner. No repeats of Katniss and Peeta!!!!
14. Sponsors may only deliver medicine, food, armor, and weapons to their tributes. Remember, these gifts must become increasingly sparse as the games go on, as gifts become more expensive the more time goes by. The max per turn is one gift per sponsor.
Health and Water deductions are taken every day until the finale. Every time a Gamekeeper makes the day change to night, a tribute loses 25 Food. Health deductions are shown after a Wound in a dice roll.
Location of games: A medium-sized island with various small ponds scattered throughout it.
Cornucopia supply organization: Mostly the same as is usually used - the best supplies are nearer the cornucopia, and the farther packages are from the cornucopia the worse supplies they will contain. Water and food can only be found nearer the cornucopia, and is not available in any of the packages found near the outskirts of the area.
-Dice rolls for plants: Whenever ponies eat berries or other plant-based foods. So, if a pony were to find some sort of berry bush and eat one of the berries, there will be a dice roll that will determine whether the berries were healthy and edible, poisonous, deadly, etc.
-SPECIAL stats affect dice rolls: Your SPECIAL stats do affect the outcomes of Dice Rolls. Please post your SPECIAL before your stats.
Foods: Dried Apples: 20 Ripe Apple: 22 + 1 Water Crackers: 10 Berries: 20+1 Water Nightlock Berries: -100 Health Hay Bars: 23 Sponsor Meal: 25 + 10 Health + Full Water Wild Game: 23 + 5 Health
SPECIAL:
The careers have 45 points to distribute, while the others have 40. The max you can have for each category is 10 points. Please post your special after your posts for each pony.

Examples:
First Post (from the first games): Calla Lily knew what all these ponies were thinking. They were going to win for their districts. No other tribute had a chance.
Well, she had something to fight for, too. Something she thought was better than pride. Calla was fighting for her life. The other ponies didn't think so, but they were too. Too focused on fame, you never see the big picture.
Fortunately, Calla was good with weapons. She'd been training all her life, to make sure she wouldn't die if she got picked. She had more than just training, though; Calla had her wits. As an exceptionally intelligent pony, Calla had a plan. Some weapons would be nice, too. Calla would make it away from the bloodbath alive. All it required was quick thinking and speed.
Calla smiled. She also had years of training at Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. No pony could beat that.
Now, first, to find some allies... It was good to have friends in a place like the arena.
Calla eyed the green pony from One. She suddenly recognized him. It was Brawny Hooves! She smiled and waved. Surely, he would be her ally. Oh, and the mare from Two... Really, all of the other careers. Brawny, Primary, Iridescent, Vastile, and Gilded Lance were on her team... at least, until most of the other tributes were dead.

Other Posts: Rosie glared at Recurve and sat on a rock, unzipping the backpack she had grabbed. She pulled out a ten-foot rope, thermal sleeping bag, empty water canteen, and a pack of hay bars and dried apple slices. In a side pocket was a serrated knife. Hungrily, Rosie tore open the pack of dried apple slices and munched quietly on them, eating a quarter of the small bag. She sealed it back up and replaced it.
"Do we want to sleep at all, tonight?" she asked Recurve. "We could find a nice tree or something..."
Rosie cut a branch off a tree and started sharpening it to replace the spear she had lost. As she worked, a parachute fell right into Recurve's hooves, and she felt a pang of envy. Recurve already had a sponser. Fabulous. In her anger, she cut the branch in half and kept cutting. Watching him eat that ripe apple, something she hadn't eaten fresh since she was a filly, kindled the burning resentment for everypony in the arena.

| Iris strolled casually into the room, glancing around at the holograms and busy looking ponies. She walked into the middle of the room, "Ponies! Are we ready?" she called loudly. "This is the 59th annual Pony Games! And it will be the best!"
She cocked an eyebrow and smirked, her eyes calm and cool. She was very good at acting. In truth, she was a bit worried. Quite a few of her friends were participating in this year's games, and she knew only one would live. She sighed and turned to the screen, "start the countdown." she said quietly to the gamekeeper next to her.
Primary plopped down into her chair, turning her TV on. She couldn't wait for the games to start, they were the most exciting time of her year. Star walked quietly into the room, sitting down next to Mary. Star wasn't exactly ecstatic about the Games, but she had to watch them, so she did. She knew that all she could do was watch, and send gifts of course.
((Wait for Vinyl to post, if he doesn't within one day, (as this is a fast-moving thread) Sunny posts, then Calla, following the list up there. Once everypony has posted, then there's not order once the bell rings))

| ~~~OC: Onyx~~~"Ponies! Are we ready? This is the 59th annual Pony Games! And it will be the best!"Onyx entered the room soon after he heard the voice, not a second early and not a second late. He stood there at the doorway for a few seconds, first observing the various gamekeepers that were gathered there, then the large holographic arena that was in the center of the room, and then shifting his gaze over to the other Co-Head Gamekeeper. The Unicorn had never heard of there being two Head Gamekeepers in any of the previously held games, but he was sure the higher-ups at the Capitol knew what they were doing. Hopefully he and the mare that he now saw would be able to work together well so that the 59th Annual Pony Games would be sufficiently entertaining to the public, and so that the two of them could keep their jobs and/or their lives. After a few seconds of thought and observation, Onyx fully entered the room, heading over to the holographic arena in the center of the space and taking a moment to take a closer look at it. This year's games were to be held on an isolated island, a suggestion that he himself had made that the Capitol had apparently taken a liking to. He watched as the tributes ascended into the arena, a small view of their face and basic information generated above them as they appeared. Most of this year's tributes were unknown to the stallion, and those few that he did know he did not know well. One of the Gamekeepers started the countdown, and Onyx turned to face the other Co-Head Gamekeeper, a Pegasus by the name of Iridescent if he remembered correctly. "Well, I wish us luck, that we may make this year's games the best that have been held up to date. Are you ready?" Usually, Onyx didn't bother talking to other ponies unless they either spoke to him first or he had good reason to do so, but this Iridescent had been named a Co-Head Gamekeeper, and so she must not have been another one of the many idiots that he seemed to be surrounded by daily. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~OC: Suspicious Package~~~"Thank you very much, and I hope that you have a great day!" Finishing up with his last customer, Package closed up his shop and then headed towards his private quarters, quite anxious to see how the 59th Annual Pony Games would turn out. He sat down in a chair and turned on the television, getting comfortable in his seat and watching the screen with eager eyes. The Gamekeepers were now in the middle of the countdown, which meant that he hadn't actually missed anything. Looking at the various tributes, he saw that he didn't really know most of them, but that was fine. From what he had seen in the previous weeks, it seemed that most of this year's tributes were ready and waiting for the Pony Games, either fearing the arrival of the event or preparing for it however they could. That was good. Easier for him to chose who he'd help and easier for the Gamekeepers to manipulate in order to form a better game. | |

Indigo rushed into work, knowing that the big day was today. The 59th annual Pony Games were due, and she was hoping that it will be the best.
She looked over at one of the Head Gamekeeper and started the countdown, secretly wishing all of the tributes luck.
Sunny Days
Sunny Days fearfully, yet curiously looked around her. An island. She, herself had never been to an island, and couldn't help but feel curious. I mean, you can't find yourself on an island every day, now can you?
She told herself that this was The Pony Games, and she needed to stay focused.
Plan. She needed a plan.
She glanced over at the other District 11 tribute, hoping that they would team up with her.

Bithia was trained. She knew what to do. Stick with the Careers, and then kill them off.
You may think she was cold blooded, because of the way she was so blunt. But, that's just the truth. She honestly didn't think the idea of harming other ponies was fun, but she wanted to win-no, she HAD to win.
She glanced over to Torna and Calla, knowing she would ally with them.
Ever since she was a little filly, she knew she was destine to win it for District 1, and that's exactly what she was going to do.

Calla Lily
Calla was ready. It was time to win this time, for though it was a Career district, District Two had not win in some time. She was adept at both knife-throwing and bow-hunting, and it was always good to be able to improvise as well. She was extremely fast on her hooves, but her clumsiness could sometimes render that particular advantage useless.
It was no matter. Calla had cunning, perception, and intelligence. She also needed to go home. There was a stallion and a little filly waiting for her to return, and she would not let her down.
She had allies already. Having discussed an alliance with the other Careers during training, she knew she had help. Maybe she would make it home to Nikki and Brawny. She prayed to Faust that she would.

________________________________________________________ Amina Abbasi
Amina cursed the Capitol. Cursed the gamekeepers. Cursed Equestria. The only reason she was in the games was because she had been kept in Equestria when the borders were closed, and she was a tribute because she wasn't a citizen. Logic.
That was also what Amina had. Logic, speed, and luck were on her side. There was little she could do about being in the games, but much she could do about winning and getting out. Maybe if she won, she could use the money to pay her way of of Equestria and back home to Saddle Arabia.
Amina's SPECIAL Strength: 3 Perception: 6 Endurance: 4 Charisma: 3 Intelligence: 8 Agility: 6 Luck: 10 _________________________________ Cloud Dancer
Cloud Dancer was not happy to be here. She would rather be home, stretching and having people pay for her to dance. Not stretching because she was about to fight to the death.
Her agility was her best bet. She was light on her hooves and her wings, dodging almost everything perfectly. She wanted to go home simply because she didn't want to die. She didn't care about the honor of victory for her district. Just going home.
Going home was all she had. It was enough to fight for, though. Your life.
Cloud Dancer's SPECIAL Strength: 8 Perception: 6 Endurance:7 Charisma: 4 Intelligence: 3 Agility: 10 Luck: 3 ________________________________________________ Rosella Petals
For once, Rose was Rose because she was about to, most probably, die. She was no longer a timid, scared-to-kill happy-go-lucky mare. Rose was pessimistic, killer, and virtually emotionless. A killing machine.
The other thing about Rose was that, though the prospect was frightening, she didn't really care if she died or not. The blatant lack of self-preservation is what drives her the best.
Being from 12, her life had been hard enough. It had hardened her, strengthening her body and her soul. Now, she was no longer Rosie. She was Rose.
Rose saw a bow at the center of the cornucopia and cursed under her breath. There was no chance of herself getting to it before ponies like Calla. Calla had speed and cunning, and she had a lot of it. She was one of the crystal ponies meaning that she was a lot slower than the average pony, due to the extra weight of her crystal skin.
But what Rose lacked in speed, she had in strength. Rosie had one plan: grab something, anything, and get the hay out of there and into the center of the island.
Rosella's SPECIAL Strength: 9 Perception: 4 Endurance: 8 Charisma: 8 Intelligence: 4 Agility: 2 Luck: 5

| (Sorry for being a day late, I was gone for most of Saturday.)
Torna looked around. She did not seem to care much about this whole thing, though internally she was frightened beyond belief. Being from a career district would definitely help, and being from district 4 of them all would give a huge advantage. Finding food would not be a problem. The island terrain? Well, it seems almost too perfectly suited for the fishing district. The real question was whether to go for the supplies or to just run. Would there even be anything good? Food and water would not be a problem, should the game stay fair. A weapon would be the problem. Then again, what could be achieved by risk could also be made from stick and stone, hooks and spears. Despite having an advantage, Torna still had a nagging feeling that she would be dead by the end of this. That is what was frightening her, for death was one thing she could not face with bravery. It is normal, of course, that her morale might drop quickly should things take a sudden turn. She found it rather strange, actually, that she would face with courage and bravery (there is a difference) any pains or torments, but should life wane and death come, be it slowly or quickly, she would find it unbearable; she always did find the worst fate that she could imagine was knowing it was coming, and having to accept death. And so she carried on from her not-so-easy life of training for this moment into the games, with bravery but no courage.

Get a weapon, get food. Hide, survive, then kill. She shrugged, it sounded like a good plan. She frowned, and decided to make a friend or two to help out for awhile.

| This was Momento Mori's worse nightmare.
"One out of Eighteen. 0.05 repeating. 5.555%. 1/18." Mori repeated the statistic out loud. One of the sponsors, a young foal, said it to her.
Those were her odds.
She repeated the mantra of life and death. as she surveyed the soon-to-be bloodbath.
"Dehydration, Hypothermia, Blood Loss, Heat Stroke, Poison, Dysentery, Blunt Force Trauma..."
Hadn't this been what she was preparing for her entire life? The games were a constant threat through Mori's life, and regardless of whether she was picked at all, she had trained and trained and trained until her body and mind were in peak condition.
But no amount of training could prepare her for this. She would steal, kill, maim, torture, she would sell her soul.
But she didn't want to die.
That was all she wanted in life.
Her wings shook so violently that Mori had too sit down on her pedestal just to stop them. She tried to take deep breaths as she eyed a hoof-crossbow and something else that looked shiny on the ground between her and the pedestal next to hers. ((NO OC IN MIND))
She was not particularly smart, or strong, but she had a nifty knack at staying alive. S=4 P=5 E=9 C=5 I=6 A=7 L=9

Vassago slouched in his couch in the Sponsor's lounge, far away from the Games. He stared with supreme boredom at the screen.
He didn't even know why he was in this Tangential Universe. His Masters had already made it quite clear that this one may be a lost cause, but he was here to see it through to the end.
Best case scenario: Mori lived and won the games.
Worse case: Mori died and he was stuck in this dung-sack world. It could have been worse, if hadn't arrived in the Capital.
If Mori knew he was her sponsor, she would be jumping with joy.
Vassago stared up at the frightened mare on the screen. He was going to take good care of her.

| Golden Bolt sat silently on his pedestal, his wings tucked in tightly around his body as he attempted to keep calm. His mind mulling over the past few days, weeks and even years that lead up to this. He was from district 9, the district of grain, but those at home didn't hold their breath for him. district 9 is not a career district, in fact there was only ever four victors that ever came from 9. The odds were definitely not in his favor.
Golden chuckled lightly at his little joke, but quickly became silent again. It was one of the few times he ever made any sound; laughing, snorting, roaring in anger or crying softly in secret during training. He looked up as he faced the fact that he may very well die soon, or not at all, only time would tell.
Golden glanced to his left. On the pedestal next to him sat a very timid looking Pegasus. Golden followed her glance, noting she paused at a hoof crossbow and an shiny object embedded in the ground between the two pedestals, Golden hoped it would be a throwing knife, he was especially fond of them. Golden whistled at the mare to get her attention, then used his hoof to sign "are you ok?". He didn't really need to ask, he was sure she was just as scared as he was, her shaking wings were evidence enough.
Golden thought back to training, he had trained extensively with small blades, knifes, throwing knifes, ninja stars, anything that was able to be hidden in his tail he counted as small, but his weak frame stopped him from ever being able to train with anything bigger. Luckily for him, he was not one to get into open confrontation, he preferred stealth and traps. If Golden was going to win this, he was going to win by waiting out everypony else, or killing them when they least expect it. His mentor had warned him to stay out of the original bloodbath and perhaps come back later to the Cornucopia in search of food, water and weapons. But Golden wasn't so sure that was a good idea, seeing as most of district 9's tributes died of starvation or exposure. He was determined to get something to help him get an edge, then fly, and not stop till he could no longer hear the screams of dieing ponies, and even then he would keep going.
A small back pack caught his eye, but whether or not he would be able to reach it in time would be another story. He turned back to the mare to his left, then deliberately looked at the shiny object between them. Before looking back up and signing "I won't kill you." Or at least that's what Golden hopped would happen. But if the mare was a threat, he would kill her. He would have to at some stage if was to get home alive.
His plan was to pick up the shiny object, if it was a weapon, hold it in his mouth while flying as fast as he could to the backpack, then get the hell out of there. If the shiny object was not a weapon, he would most likely throw it at any pony that got in they way of him and the backpack.
At least he had a simple plan.

| Storm Rush was ready for this. He had trained with everypony he possibly could. He was a bit nervous at times, but he brushed it off.
He then thought back on his preperation. He even thought about the time when he went three days without food and water. To push it even further, he and Thunder Dash, his cousin, camped out in the middle of the Everfree Forest for two nights.
This was it, his life depended on him. He had to win the games for his cousin and his family.
As he was thinking about this, he eyed some supplies on the field. "Those would come in handy, but usually the opening time is where the most deaths occur. I cannot be one of them!" He said to himself

He examined every nook and cranny, every detail in the other ponies' faces. His heart was pounding. The colt was on the verge of tears already, and the games haven't even started. Grab a weapon, run. Grab something. Run. At least he had hit his growth spurt before he was selected, and he was already bigger than he was a year ago. Being stronger would definitely serve him well later in the game. If he was capable of surviving.
Sprout bit his lip. No, oh no, he wouldn't. He wasn't tough enough to kill someone. Maybe an alliance? he asked himself, looking at the other ponies. Some of them look about as scared as me, maybe it could work?
Grab a weapon, run. You know what's safe to eat, at least. Right?

| ((Okay. After this I'll put both Match and Sprout in the same post.))
Match twitched nervously. Her eyes locked onto a bag. The mare's back straightened as she formed a plan. Right, I'm gonna lift that my way, get it with my mouth, and run. Maybe I should pick something else up, too? She was grateful about her being able to practice her magic a little before the game. Her levitation wasn't as weak (though it certainly wasn't as useful as she wanted it to be) and she had learned a few more spells. Find a place to hide. Find food. Blind the nearest pony, kill them, take their stuff. I got this. she nodded. Granted, Match was terrified, but she wouldn't admit that to herself. She would get a chance to make her parents proud, she would win. But she needed a sponsor.

| Mari was shaking. She was determined to see her friends again. They had always been there for her, but here they couldn't help her. She had to take care of herself this time. She was fast. She could just as well out run anyone here. No one would want to make a pact with her. Everyone thought she was weak, but she was only holding back. They brought her here to give them a show, and that's what they were going to get. She had to get back home, no matter what the cost. She already had a plan. As the clock counted down she looked around, looking for the best escape route. She wasn't going to die, not here, not now. It was time to show them, not to underestimate her.

| the countdown finishes and the gong sounds loud and clear.
"Well, here we go." Iris said under her breath, rubbing her hooves together. She smirked and glanced at her counterpart, Onyx.
"I'm ready. You better be."
(the games are starting now, no more posting order. everypony must post themselves leaving or going to the cornucopia. May the odds be ever in your favor!)

| Calla raced off of her plate, fast as a bullet. She streaked over the ground, tripping but recovering before anypony could blink an eye. Taking her position on top of the Cornucopia as she snatched up a bow, a box of throwing knives, and a longknife, she yanked out an arrow and shot it out at Match.
"For you, Nikki," she said quietly. "I will come home to you."

The gong rang clearly in Rose's pessimistic ears. Rose ran off her plate, praying she wasn't too slow. She bent to grab a backpack before falling over and cursing. She dragged herself to her feet again and ran, trying to get as far away from the cornucopia as possible, or at least out of firing range.
"No, no, no, no, I will not die yet," she chanted, running and praying that nothing would be sharp enough to pierce her skin.
Health: 100 Food: 100 *** Amina ran. She grabbed only a shiny thing in the grass with her teeth and a small knapsack on the edges of the supplies loop, disappearing from sight before Calla had stepped off her plate.
"Curse you, Equestria!" she screamed.
When she finally felt it was safe, she stopped and examined the object in her mouth. She realized it was a knife, and the blood running in her mouth told her that she had cut her tongue. Shaking her head, she tried to find somewhere to hide.
Health: 95 Food: 100 *** Cloud Dancer was frozen on her plate. Her self-preservation screamed at her to move, but her hooves would not move. She was stuck. She was unmoving.
Whimpers sounded in her throat as she cried and managed to fall over, taking wing and inching ever so slowly from the Cornucopia, taking nothing and maybe being too slow to survive.

| The arrow whizzes past Match, hitting only the sand of the beach. Match is safe, for now. And Calla has missed her first attempt at killing. | |

| Torna ran into the woods. No going for the supplies, no killing off some combatants initially, just running. She ran as far as her hooves would take her with assistance with her wings. Once out of sight and sound of the wretched bloodbath, she started looking for sticks and stones to sharpen. | |

| Sunny Days heard the gong sound, and ran to grab the nearest saddle bag, hoping she could get passed the bloodbath. She ran the opposite direction from most of her tributes, figuring that she could ally later. She didn't want to hurt anypony, and figured she probably won't win, but she at least wanted to help somepony else win. That was the plan.

Bithia sprinted to the Cornucopia and grabbed a few spears, and lifted herself to the top of it with ease. She saw that Calla was there, but Torna was nowhere to be found. She shrugged, deciding that she would show up sooner or later.
She decided to try out the spear on an easy target, a tribute from District 3, Crystal was her name she believed. She aimed and flung the spear, hoping it would hit it's target.
