Aster Meets Somepony

Aster raced across the main street in Canterlot, with a terrified light in his eyes. He had got into an awful mess with a rather angry old mare, after trying, and failing horribly to help the elderly pony across the street, who had savagely proceeded to whack him with her surpisingly heavy purse, and was now chasing him through the streets. What did she have in that purse anyway? An anvil? He turned, and heard a painful crack, as the royal guard rammed into another pony. " Oh, dear! I'm terribly sorry, are you alright?" he fretted, anxiously looking behind him, just in case that frighting old mare was around.

Silver Night walked casually, shopping bags in hoof. She absulotely despised shopping, but it was one of the many things her mother made her do. Suddenly, she slammed into another pony. SMACK! She fell to the ground with a sickening thud." Oh, dear! I'm terribly sorry, are you alright?"A voice asked, concerned. Silver looked up and meant eyes with a creme stallion with mustard yello hair.He has beautyiful eyes,She acknowledged."I-I'm fine, thanks for asking..." Silver stammered. She suddenly felt very embrassed. She pateintly waited for the stallion to respond.

The royal guard rubbed his head, wincing. It still hurt from earlier.

"I-I'm fine, thanks for asking..." the mare stammered with wide eyes, with a long silver mane, with a tint of blue in it. Aster cocked his head at the shopping bags, now spilt all over the ground. " I-if you want, I could help you those," he added politely, slightly uncomfortable by the almost moony way she was eyeing him. He bent down to put the posh items back in the bags, and realized he hadn't introduced himself.

" I'm A-aster, erm... at your service!" he said, gesturing to the armor he was wearing. Often ponies jeered or laughed at him, and he felt that if they at least knew he was somewhat... royal... guardy perhaps he would be treated with a teensy weensy more repsect? The pegasus knew that was asking too much... he truly didn't have any friends, espicially among fellow guards.

"I-if you want want, I could help you with those." The stallion bent down and began to pick up her bags."I'm A-aster at your service!" He motioned to his armor. Oh! He's a royal guard! I hadn't noticed.. She thought."I'm uh.. Silvernight. You can call me Silver." She stuck out her hand to him.
He looked at her blankly. She laughed."Do you want me to help you up?"

"I'm uh.. Silvernight. You can call me Silver," the mare said, sticking out her hoof towards Aster. He stared at the hoof blankly, and looked back up at the pegasus,puzzled. She let out a laugh."Do you want me to help you up?" she said. Aster gaze her a rather moony smile, suddenly noticing, her sleek, long mane and slender figure." I.. uh... sure!" he suddenly said, regaining his wits.

"I.. uh.. sure!" Aster stammered. Silver suddenly decided she liked this stallion.
"So, want to go out for lunch or something?" She racked her mind for a nice place to eat. "I'll pay.." Her mother began to protest, suddenly out of her state of shock.
"Now, Silver. You don't konw this pony.." She whispered.
"Thats why I going to get to know him over lunch!" Silver chirped. Just to spite her mother she added,
"And I'm sure we can finish shopping later! After all, I already have plenty of clothes." She started to walk towards the stallion. "Bye! See you later!" She said.

Aster watched as the mother pouted, then trotted away. Silver didn't seem to like her very much, he wondered why. He knew his own parents were terrifying, but you should still love your family! The guard turned his attention to the mare.

" I would absolutely love lunch... but... I.." his voice trailed off as the mare stared at him, giving him a warm smile.

" I'm on duty..." he mumbled.

"Oh." Silver felt her stomach drop. She felt ashamed that she didn't think about that.DUH! He's a royal guard..of course he's on duty! "Uh.. Well uh.. whenever your free then. You could uh.. just stop by.. or something... like that.." She began to walk away slowly after her mother."So..bye!"
She yelled, hoping he could hear her.

Oh this is so late.... I guess it just slipped my mind, I'm sowwy!


" Bye!" Aster called cheerfully. He hoped that he would see Silver again.

The pegasus gave a sigh, and began to trot away, not exactly caring where he was heading. It was getting late, and soon he would be excused from duty.
