A Night of Disaster

Shala kept shaking her head more and more until she snapped. "And what about next time when i screw up? Next time a pony taunts me about the time? When things start ticking again? It's either more alcohol or a pony gets hurt!"

She stared at Iccy with some anger before quickly feeling it diminish with guilt. Reflexively, she magicked over another another bottle of liquor to drink away her frustration she had misplaced on Iccy.

Icarus sighed and looked down. "I g-guess... O-only He can c-change your mind, h-huh...?" He said softly, Nearly silent.

Shala looked sharply at Iccy. She knew he meant Intel, but the way he said it told something else.

"What about it Iccy?" She said, pulling the cork off the bottle and drinking a fair bit in one go.

Icarus shook his head. "N-Nothing." Now it was Icarus' turn to sound devoid of emotion. Tears still fell down his cheeks, but anyone could tell he was hastily covering his emotions. "... D-Do you s-still w-want me t-to go?"

Shala didn't feel like perusing her lesser curiosities and sighed. "Go on and tell the others if you want. Intel will have to know. I'm just going to drink and....maybe pack." The last word was the most difficult to get out. It didn't feel real. It felt like it was so wrong. She subconsciously hoped somepony would prove her wrong.

Icarus sighed again. "J-Just... -hic-... W-Wait a f-few d-d-d-hic-days..." He pleaded, not looking into Shala's eyes.

Shala looked to Iccy, not sure what she would say, but those eyes could not be denied. She caved in and nodded. "....A few days..." She sighed even more.

Icarus nodded, Trembling slightly by held-back tears. "... T-Thank y-you..." He then left the house without another word.
