Night-time has fallen...(OPEN)

The black night, only illuminated by the gray moon's ray's, was mostly empty on the street. A yellow pegasus mare trotted around, soaking in the sweet sounds of the mostly sleeping town. Sure is a sweet little town, she thought, and so different than Cloudsdale in more than sounds, I'm sure.

She trotted into an ally, which she thought was a street. She heard some ponies behind her, but she ignored them. She came upon the dead end, and, as she turned, heard a laugh.

"Heheheh. Where're you goin', cutie?" a colt asked her, the stench of alcohol filling her nostrils. The colt was obviously drunk, and she never liked to mess with drunks.

"I was on a stroll through Ponyville, sir. If you'd let me continue it." she hinted.

It was the end of a very long day for Aero Dynamic. He'd returned from an all day flight, moving a shipment of rocks. Rocks. Why a pony would consider flying transportation to be the best method to transport rocks was beyond him.

Needless to say, he had been exhausted and consequently had decided the best way to recover was a good few drinks.

As Aero trotted slowly down the street, trying to remember where he was staying, he heard some voices from nearby. Maybe he could ask for directions?

He head towards the source of the noise, coming across an alley. Surprised, he poked his around the corner. At a dead end, he spotted a mare and a stallion, seemingly in conversation. Maybe they were having a private moment. Something seemed off.

Hesitant and a little hazy minded from his drinks, Aero hung back in the shadow to watch them.

"Come on, cutie, just one minute with me?" the drunk colt asked.

"I was preoccupied, sir, now let me through." she spat, trying to not show him she couldn't see.

"Not even to check out my wing muscles? Or something more?" the colt asked, moving closer.

She took a step backward, cornering herself more. Wonderful, I'm stuck between a wall and a drunk... Not even near sober, ugh. she thought, coughing at the colt's breath. "No." the colt kept moving towards her, trapping her in the corner of the alleyway. "Help, anypony!" she cried.

Aero's eyes widened as he watched the scene unfold. This had suddenly gotten serious. He mentally cursed himself for letting himself drink more than usual; he hated feeling any lack of control. Aero was strong, fast and capable of a fight, but he wanted this to end peacefully, if possible.

Aero stepped out clearly into the open. His hood steps were loud and his wings were spread wide to appear intimidating. He quickly approached the drunk stallion, the alcohol on his breath was clear.

"Listen here buddy," growled Aero, sounding furious and cold, "You have exactly three seconds to get out of here before I send you to the moon."

The colt turned, anger on his face. "Who you talking to, bub?"

The yellow mare panted from the fear she was in. Another pony, male, had saved her, but for how long? She stared ahead, at the drunk stallion before closing her eyes, and turning her head to the right.

"To you, bub," replied Aero, his eyes narrowing as his icy cold irises locked onto the stallion.

His thoughts went back to hours of training and reading of martial arts. Aero was no expert, but he knew how to fight. His hooves spread apart to give him a more stable stance and his wings were primed to give him lift at a moments notice.

"Three seconds. Leave. I do not repeat myself." Aero began to count down. "Three. Two."

The colt stammered. She could tell she wasn't expecting him to be for real. "I'll be back cutie." he told her and he flew off.

"You... You saved me." she said turning her head to look forward once again.

Soul would be doing her usual low flying, her newly repaired mechanism attached to her wings, she hears a commotion from an alleyway, immediately switching direction midflight, landing near the alleyway, she sees a colt flying off, she shrugs, wandering into the alley.

The stallion seemed to finally make the right decision and take off into the sky. Aero kept his eyes locked onto him until he was out of sight before letting out a faint sigh of relief. He wasn't feeling up for a brawl this evening.

His attention turned to the mare he had just saved. Even in the dull light, Aero could make to her yellow coat, dark mane and wings. Hearing her words made him stammer uncharacteristically for a moment.

"W-well, yes," he agreed, before turning a little more serious as he lightly chastised the mare, "I know Ponyville may look like the least dangerous place in Equestria, but wandering around at night isn't really a good idea."

As Aero spoke, he heard the rustling and thud of what sounded like another pony landing nearby. Had the stallion returned? It was too dark for him to be sure, but he stayed alert in case it was him.

"Well, I'm new in tow-" she was interrupted by a pony coming. She trotted to her saver and stayed behind him. "Who-Who's that?" she hated playing mare-in-destress.

The mare in front of them would look very interesting, from her black and red mane contrasting with her pearly coat; to the fact that this pegasus was sized halfway between a filly, and an average mare. She smiles happily to the pair, flying in circles around them, almost at ground level "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! MORE NEW PONIES!" She squealed with joy, landing in front of them again.

As the pony approached, Aero faced towards them, lowering his stance again as if ready to pounce. He noticed the yellow mare keeping close behind him for protection.

Aero relaxed immediately upon spotting an oddly coloured and small pegasus mare approaching them. He stood more casually as he watched the pegasus flying around them. A bemused expression found it's way onto his face.

"Urm, hello," Aero greeted the new arrival, "I'm sorry, who are you exactly?"

The happy sound of a filly calmed her a bit. She still stood behind the colt who saved her, fearful of what could happen.

"Hi, I'm Soul Storm. Who are you?" she asked merrily, darting around Aero, sticking her hoof out to Sunrise, her wings still somewhat open, like she still wanted to be flying about and being mad.

Aero watched as Soul introduced herself and approached the other mare. She seemed very energetic, so much so that Aero was getting a little dizzy just keeping track of her darting around. The drink didn't help.

"I'm Aero Dynamic," he said, before gesturing to the yellow pegasus, "And this is...someone who is going to be heading home because she just found out that walking around alone at night is not a good idea."

"I do as I wish, thank you!" she snapped. "And my name is Sunrise Twinkle, sir Aero."

Soul gasps happily "Oh, that's such a beautiful name; I love both sunrises, and twinkles; I reckon they both taste of candy. Anyway; the night's not bad if you have somepony who isn't drunk, can fight, and is also armed." she says, standing by Sunrise's side "I'm on your side, new bestie."

Sunrise's response made Aero chuckle. Give me dry humour over slapstick any day. Meanwhile Soul was being so lively that he was starting to feel more upbeat himself.

"My apologies, madam Twinkle," Aero mock apologised, exaggerating a bow to her. Suddenly, he clocked something that Soul said. "Wait, armed?"

"Armed? Why armed?" Sunrise asked. She wasn't too thrilled at that sound.

Soul shrugs "Bonus of doing occasional guard work; and being an ex-elite guard. I get all the fun toys." she says, the blades on the flat of her wings extending then folding again.

Lavender was walking to the market, when in an alleyway, she say two mares and a colt. One of the mares it seemed, was threatening the other two with blades. She had to do something! She quickly trotted toward the group, not particularly wanting to waste energy on talking until she knew for sure they were in trouble. Words were a powerful thing, especially if only used rarely, and she didn't want to use them just yet. She put a half-worried expression on her face, and started looking around, as if she had lost something. She didn't want the mare to think she was trying to stop her. That is, if she actually was trying to threaten them.
