Pony Days (RP thread)

"Ah, good morning, Ponyville," said a young red Pegasus stallion, stretching back and lying on a cloud. It was the right time for him to visit the town, and who knew? Maybe something exciting would happen. Ponyville had a tendency to house some crazy event sometimes.

He flopped onto his belly and looked over the cloud at the town.

Spreading ivory-coloured wings, Green Cream flew through Ponyville, just a few metres over the ground. She may not be too fond of flight, but being a weekend, most places were too crowded on the ground to easily go from place to place. Seeing an unfamiliar red pegasus resting on a cloud, she waved up at him, wondering if she should greet him.

Moondust flew above the town known as Ponyville. Her feathered wings flapped several times propelling her upwards. Soaring above the clouds now, the Pegasus lightly tapped her wings against the air keeping an even pace as she moved foreword. The snow covered clouds were beautiful today, light and fluffy. Moondust continued to glide with the breeze while her bright yellow eyes scanned the scenery. "What a lovely day" she whispered quietly to herself as she flew. She began to hum softly, brining a rhythm to the quiet morning. Dipping back below the clouds, Moondust began to pick up speed. She soon found herself twirling about in the air. It wasn't like she had anything better to do at the time.

half way through doing a flip, she spotted something red in color upon one of the clouds. She stopped to investigate, realizing it was a another pegasus. Glancing in front of her now, she spotted yet another fly by, this one ivory in color, like herself, though with green mane. She stopped though continued to flap her wings to keep her weight in the air. Her eyes began to study the two ponies.

Ponywatching was a past time that Flare always enjoyed.

It wasn't so much spying on them as it was trying to decipher in his head where they might be going or what they might be doing. By now he at least recognized most of the ponies who trotted along, he'd lived here most of his life after all. His eyes turned skywards as he watched the airborn members of ponykind drifting easily along in the breeze. This was where he let out a slightly melancholy sigh, extending his single wing and stretching it, he always felt a little envious watching them glide so high above him, Pegasi weren't bound by the same limitations that groundbound ponies were, and even unicorns could use their magic to reach their heights, if their magic permitted. But he was well and truly stuck. And it was awful!

He stood and trotted along, following the other two who seemed a bit interested in something on one of the clouds, when he spotted a bright red stallion he smiled, realizing right away that he did not recognize this pony. He made a frustrated face when he also realized that he had no way of getting from point A to point B, namely from the ground to where said pony was relaxing. He pondered as he scanned the area, it would be rude to just call everypony's attention to himself, he smiled when he spotted a tree nearby and got to work, shimmying up the trunk as best he could, given he was one leg short of a whole set, by the time he made it to the highest point(thanking Celestia that Pegasi were built lighter), he was darn near level with them, waving and giving the odd group a friendly smile, "Hello!"

Riley could notice something in the corner of his eye... but what/ He flopped around and leaned over the edge of the cloud and saw a mare waving at him. "Hi!" he greeted her, waving back.

Another Pegasus mare flew over to them. "You too!" Riley greeted her, waving at her too. "Having a nice day?"

A stallion (not your OC) was flying by and noticed the pegasus stallion with two mares next to him. "Hey, bro, tell me your secrets! I ain't even had one mare come right up to me like that!" he called.

Riley looked at him weirdly... then noticed another stallion climbing up a tree. "Hey buddy!" he said to him. He couldn't resist a giggle. "Ehehe... sorry... you look funny being in a tree like that... need a hoof?"

Green Cream smiled, seeing that the stallion seemed friendly, and with a few flaps of her wings, she ascended to his, and the other mare's, level. Though she was more used to hovering just above the ground - her wings were naturally somewhat weak - a pegasus's domain was among the clouds, and she had trained to fly well enough to reach the lower ones.

For fear her wings would fail her, she quickly stood on a nearby cloud. "Hello!" she greeted, her voice loud enough for all three pegasi to hear. "My name's Green Cream."

"As a matter of fact I am" the pegasus replied to the stallions question. Though she wasn't the type of pony who liked to carry on a conversation, it was only polite to acknowledge that she was being spoken to.

"Great!" said Riley, and he looked over towards the third pony. "So... do all of you live here?"

"Yep!" Green said cheerfully, looking down at the scenery below them. Since they weren't too far above the ground, however she was unable to see much beyond her immediate surroundings. "Well, not 'here' as in the neighbourhood, but I do live in Ponyville."

Moondust's feathered wings continued to flap keeping her weight up in the air. She looked to the red colored pegasus as he asked her about where she lived. "yup, I do live in Ponyville, not too far from here actually."

Nova flew down a dirt road at her own leisurely pace, happily taking in her surroundings on her way back to he r house outside of the town.

...Well, you couldn't really call what she was doing flying, it was more like directional hovering, considering how slow she was moving.

A couple flashes of color and the jumbled chatter of ponies conversing alerted her to the fact that there were ponies above her. Almost directly above her, in fact, she really should have noticed that sooner. Orange eyes scanned the pegasi with a quiet intensity as all four of her hooves came into contact with the ground. The dark-colored mare watched them from the ground for a few more moments to try and work out the situation before she began to flap her wings again, steadily rising up to their level.

"Hello," she droned, producing a small polite smile. "Nice weather we're having..." Gosh, there sure were a lot of ponies up here. This would be interesting.

There was, in fact, ANOTHER Pegasus (not making this up) that arrived. She appeared to be hovering, not really using her wings to her full potential.

She commented on the weather in a sort of... drone voice.

Riley blinked. "I know right!" he said happily suddenly.

The large military vehicle paused for a moment, letting four operators out to walk the street. Just to make sure all was good and fine.

Their rifles stayed pressed to their chests, and their eyes stayed open and alert.

But they walked and joked with each other, taking careful steps as their gear chimed with each step. Occasionally, a young one would run up. Which they were greeted with a quick brohoof and a small piece of candy and a warm smile from the soldiers.

The suddenness and energy with which the red Pegasus answered her question was a little unnerving, to say the least. She hadn't talked to a pony that was that energetic in a while, but even so, she would make an effort to continue the conversation.

"...Although I heard..." Nova paused, watching a butterfly flutter by before continuing where she left off. "...that the weather ponies are gonna be cooking up a storm soon. Could be a big one, too."

"Huh?" said Riley. "Oh gee. I wonder what they need that for..."

"Well, they oughta let me know when so I can help out." Maybe he'd avoid pulling the prank of pushing a cloud into somepony's house..."

Nova shrugged sluggishly, blinking at the red stallion in front of her. "I dunno, couldn't tell you. Perhaps the plants need more water...?" Eh, it was the only guess she had. She wasn't a weather pony, and thank Celestia for that, those Cloudsdale workers moved waaaay too fast for her.
