Happy Little Family (J)

Bella hummed softly and finished doing the last of the dishes from lunch, looking to where her two year old Andy was happily coloring away at a small table off to the side of the large kitchen/dining room. She smiled and trotted over, leaning down to kiss her forehead before moving to stand outside as she scanned the road up to their home. She was hoping to see Just Heart walking up since he was supposed to be coming home that day but... nothing yet. She sighed and went back in, getting a small saddle bag packed with some snacks so she could go and pick up Nyx from school.

"C'mon Andy, ready to go see your big brother?" She asked, putting on the foal carrier as well.

"Nyf!" She exclaimed, not quite able to pronounce his name properly, with a giggle and clap of her hooves as her mother got her situated in the carrier before leaving.

Nyx sighed wearily as he stepped out of the schoolhouse, it'd been a long day for the young colt. He was considering never going to school again, before he saw a familiar figure clad in shinning armour. "PAPA!" He merrily cried as he lept toward his father.

"Nyx! I missed you!" Just smiled as he caught the bundle of joy soaring through the air.

Bella trotted up to the school and slowly came to a stop as she saw her husband with their son, snapping out of it as Andy let out an excited squeal when she saw her two most favorite people in the world besides her mother.

"Da! Nyf!" She exclaimed, wriggling in the carrier.

Bella smiled and quickened her pace from a trot to run. "Just!" She called.

Both Just and Nyx turned as they heard Andy's call. Nyx hurried over to his baby sister, as Just moved to meet Bella.

"Andy!" Nyx called excitedly, as he levitated her out of Bella's carrier and onto his back.

"Bella darling, you didn't think I'd be late, did you?" He smiled and kissed her forehead

Andy giggled and settled onto Nyx's back, hugging him around the neck. "Miff you," She said.

"Maybe just a little behind schedule," Bella said before giving him a deep kiss.

"I missed you too Andy." He smiled, and looked back to nuzzle her cheek.

"I was waiting for Nyx to get out of school." Just stated matter-o-factly before being pulled into the kiss.

"Pway?" She asked, giggling at the nuzzle and pointing at the swing set of the school's playground.

"Yes, I see that now," Bella said with a small laugh after their kiss before tearing up a bit and burying her face into his neck. "I missed you..."
