New Faces

Jetfire had a feeling that this wasn't the best idea. Ugh, what have I got myself into. "What is this deadly substance?" he asked. He wanted to know what was going into his body. (Last question I swear :D)

"This substance is something of my own creation. I combined sulfur with some of a friends powder and I converted it into a liquid. She is a very nice Zebra.... Didn't quite catch her name though... well there you have it.. you in or not?" Life was starting to get worried that some pony was listening in to their conversation. (haha its cool)

"Fine." he said. He hadn't gone this far in life just to stay in a hospital for 3 months. He was willing to take the risk that this doctor was crazy. Or maybe he was just trying to help. He would find out soon.

"good. Now hand me you arm," Life said as a nurse came into the room to sign Jetfire his chart. Suddenly all the crazy left Life to make him seem like an ordinary doctor.
"thanks for the chart." as the nurse left. He quickly turned his attention on Jetfire again for his cooperation.

Jetfire reluctently stuck out his arm and closed his eyes. He knew what he was getting into. And he chose what he chose, and he will stick with it. Risk was apart of his life, and he was willing to do it to fly again.

"This better work." he mumbled under his breath.

"Lets do this" Life said while slowly slipping the needle into Jetfire's arm.

"alright, so if you ever need me you can call me over just by pressing this button... AND I MEAN FOR ANYTHING. If you start feeling queazy or sick or weird, just don't hesitate. ok?" He now had a worried look accepting what he had just gotten himself into with Jetfire.

"Sounds good to me" he said, grimacing at by the needle. He saw the worry in the eye of Life, and felt a little relieved to know that he was trying to help. He looked at the doctor more, then decided to lay down, and let his body do the work of healing....

Life looks around to grab a seat and sit in it next to Jetfire's bed.

"So, tell me about yourself," He said with a pleasant smile. He wondered if he could actually make a friend here.

"What about myself? There's a lot to tell. I guess I can say right away that I was born and raised in Cloudsdale my whole life, and just recently moved here." he said, giving him the most basic story of his life that he could offer. If Life wanted to divulge into his life further, it was his choice.

But then he smiled and said, "There's a lot more to that if you would like to listen?"

"of course! I mean you are kinda stuck here for a while, so why not get to know one another!" Life said eagerly with a huge smile.

Life of course has never really gotten in a close conversation with a patient and was worried of what might happen.

"Well, being born in Cloudsdale, I had huge expectations to be faster, and better than all the other Pegasi, my parents had me devote my life to being a fast flyer. But I don't dislike them for it, cause I love flying! But they made we spend all my time flying, and I didn't have the time to do anything else really." he said, starting with his youth.

He did spend most of his life flying, he just wished that he had more friends than he did. He loved to socialize almost as much as flying, and if he spent just as much time doing that, he would have been happier as a foal.

"Well you are lucky! I wasn't born in Cloudsdale. I was born in the outskirts of Equestria. Unfortunately my mother passed away during the birth and my dad went into a deep depression and killed himself... Then I was raised by Earth ponies on their farm." Life seemed quite happy with telling his story of heartbreak and sadness.

A nurse came in carrying a cup with her magic that said 'for Dr. Life'. Life turned around hear her walk in, "ah! my tea!" He said with a large grin. Went he went to grab the cup the nurse accidentally forgot about her magic and dropped the cup. The loud SMASH cause Life to scream shortly for dear life (heh irony) and said right after, "Im sorry you had to hear that..." He said while blushing slightly.

"It's all good" he said smiling. "And that's so sad! But I don't know, the pressure that was on me so huge... I don't know how I lived through it. But here I am now... right?" he said, still grinning.

He grimaced a bit at the wing again. The pain had gotten smaller, but it was still there. Then he thought about what had happened to him during his life... It was weird to think that of all places, he was here right now.

"Hey, don't worry about your wing, it.... SHOULD be fine after I'm done with it" Life said a little unsure. He smiled, "oh my manners! Would we like something before we go for a trip down memory lane?" He asked with a small smile, trying to lighten up the mood.

(hey sort for the late reply! School business...)

"Naw, I think I'm ok. I ate before I crashed." he said, blushing a bit. He didn't want to be known for being clumsy. Then he smiled again, laughing then grimacing at the wing. I'm not going to laugh for a week.

"You need to get anything before I bore you with my story?" he asked.

(Itsall good. I have school too, I understand)

"well there is one thing.." LIfe said while frantically writing something down. HE thought to himself 'hhmm... interesting...'

"What did you do right after you ate? But before the crash?" He said with eager determination. Still writing things down.

"Well. I think that I was heading home right after... I'm not really sure. But... I think that's what I did." he said, truthfully. It was still a little fuzzy as to what happened to him. Ugh how embarrassing...

He felt more embarrassed than he did hurt. He wondered what other ponies would think of this....

"hhhmmm okay, well that is great news that you at least kinda remember!" He said, still writing things down. "Don't worry one one will think less of you." Life gestured hoping he guessed his emotions correctly. "I have seen many ponies come in with that same look."

"Ok..." he said, still not fully accepting that answer, but just took it and gave a smile. He could at least still be a happy pony right? He thought so. He waited for Life to finish writing down whatever he was writing.

Life put down the pen. "Well its getting late" he said as the sun started to set". I shall leave you to sleep and if anything happens call me right away, alrighty?" Life was now staying by the doorway waiting for a reply.

"Ok, I will." he said, looking at the doctor he had so faithfully trusted. Then he laid back and closed his eyes. And tried to remember what had happened to him that day. All the things that had happened. Eh, too much to remember.

*NEXT DAY*
Life knocked on his patient's door. "Man I hope he is fine from that medicine...." HE looked worried holding a bunch of papers.

(Also, what do you want the effects of the medicine to be? For now, I wont have anything change, except for minor things, tell me if you want it edited)

Jetfire suddenly awoke from a strange sleep. He had nightmares... he looked at his wing, and saw that it was still damaged. He had this weird feeling in it though, like it was radiating out something. But he just shook it off and lay there.

(i was thinking that the main effcts should come at the very end, like throwing up, spasms, discoloration, and weir disformations of his wing. But as for jow it should be random truth blaring like he would say exacly what he was thinking and major nightmares)

"hey, you okay?" life said through the door as he heard shuffling of the bed sheets. "can i come in?" he was really starting to worry now.

Yeah, I.... just had a nightmare..." he said, the truth coming out of his mouth before he could even think about what to say. Hmm, that was weird. Whatever, he chose to ignore his already weird morning.
