Newcomer in Ponyville

Mist Fragrance, just a foot above the ground was carrying her stuff and some spare bits along her back as she finally enters in Ponyville. New surroundings, new ponies and a new life awaits her. Mist pushes up her glasses that was about to fall off, planting herself onto the ground trotting to a nearby bench setting her stuff down with a loud sigh. "..Well, I'm here in Ponyville. What a long damn trip.." she mutters quietly looking around seeing other ponies and colts talking, flying and a few using magic from their horns.

Opening the front bag digging around for the map, upon founding it. Mist lays out the map on the bench getting out a pen using her mouth to hold it. "..Hm.. I'm here... so.. my place shouldn't be that far. In the meantime, I should meet some ponies along the way here.." tapping the pictures of places to go and to visit with a tired yet bored expression.

Life was walking down paved pathway in the park, trotting along trying to get his daily exercise. He was jogging along when in the distance he saw a mare sitting on a bench holding a map. Is she lost? He though to himself. He decided to ask her if she needed help.

He kept jogging until he got to her, wiping a bit of sweat from his forehead with his long, elegant wing.

"excuse me? Are you lost?" He asked.

Mist's eyes was too busy scanning through map not hearing a voice asking her if she was lost. Quickly picking her head then looks back down but soon picking her head up again seeing a taller than her Pegasus. "...Wow. Y-you're ta-" dropping the pen from her mouth unable to find a right way to speak up ending up stammering her sentence in front of the Pegasus. Mist calm down with a relaxed sigh fixing her glasses before facing him.

"Sorry about that and to answer your question. I'm well.. new here, I just moved from Cloudsdale." she said laughing nervously looking up to the stranger.

"The name's Mist Fragrance, but call me Mist." extending her hoof with a light smile on.

He took a half step back at her slight comment, but then took it as a compliment.

"Another new one huh? Well hello, and welcome to Ponyville!" He said with a grin. He extended his wing to shake her hoof, his large feathers curving around her hoof as if grasping them, with a slight shine reflecting from the sun.

It was another average day in Ponyville for Cobalt. Today's forecast called for a light sprinkling throughout most of the day. He'd spent all day gathering stray clouds in the sky as well as crafting his own. Flying leisurely on his back, the colt soared, wings slicing cleanly through the wind. In his hooves were several clouds that he held up in front of himself, dragging them along. They were slowly growing as he went along.

The clouds he were making had slowly been taking up the once clear, sunny sky. Cloud after cloud was placed delicately in it's spot, and soon there was a heavy overcast. A gentle breeze began picking up near the ground as the mildly inclement weather began making its presence known.

The Pegasus that then touched down was an interesting one; covered in splotches of sea grean-blue and a striking navy blue. He adjusted his glasses, and tilting his head backwards, admired his own work. It would be about fifteen minutes before rain began falling from the sky, and it made the blue Pegasus anxious just thinking about it.

"I can't wait for the rain."

Mist watches in shock as the tall Pegasus's wing feathers quickly grasping her hoof like fingers shaking his wing up and down pulling away. "Sorry about earlier again. I didn't mean to startled you or anything." opening her wings as one reaches over scratching her side head in embarrassment.

The light blue Pegasus looks down at the ground seeing a bit of sunlight shining down turning her attention up at the sky noticing that it's gonna rain today. Putting her down sighing in frustration, Mist places the map back in the bag and using her wings to fasten it around her back. "I better get going now, seeing that it's gonna rain. By the way mister, I didn't get your name."

Life looked up to see the sky as well. Man it is going to pour down soon... He saw her staring to pack up.

"My name is Life, I work at the hospital. Where are you headed?" He asked quickly before the rain would hit.

Cobalt gave a hefty sigh, stretching his sizable wings. He'd been flying all morning, and was relieved to finally be finished. He could now perhaps carry out trying to expand his social life. Attention turning away from the murky clouds above, he looked about at the ground to all the rapidly scattering ponies.

He never understood it, so many never liked the rain and ran from it when it drew near. This colt however could never get enough of the stuff. Minutes passed, and the street looked abandoned. He blew his hair up in evident frustration at there being suddenly no one to speak to.

On the ground he sat, upset to say the least. He would have pouted if he were still a filly, but he was more mature than that. The colt's gaze shifted back to the light gray color that the clouds had turned the sky, and a modest smile accompanied a calm pair of calm, sapphire eyes. He felt the first drop of rain pelt him softly on the back.

Rather than folding his wings, the Pegasus left them strewn about the ground on the cool, comfortable earth on either side of himself.

"It's really comfortable here, might as well take a nap in the rain. That'd be nice..."

His forehooves crossed over one another, and Cobalt proceeded to rest his chin on them eyes fixed on the limitless realm above the ground. There was now a very light drizzle, the comforting patter of minuscule drops of liquid colliding with the ground. Cobalt couldn't ask for much more.

Quickly covering herself with her wings when a single drop of rain touches her tail. "I like your name, Life. As for me, I was heading to my house." she told Life extending her wings out as they started flapping just moments above the ground hovering in place. "It's not that far from here. If you're not too busy, come over my place at some point!" Mist asked him but didn't have time to give Life her address quickly flying to that direction, soon after turning around for just a minute, waving her hoof saying goodbye before zooming out of the rain.

Mist completely forgot about the pen she had was still laying on the bench, sadly it was too late for the Pegasus to turn back heading for that warm shelter called home.

"Wait! I didn't get your ad-!" He sighed, "Oh well...." He looked down at the bench to see a pen lying there. hmm she must have forgotten her pen... He picked it up with his hoof and covered his entire body with his wings like an umbrella.

We started to walk back to the hospital as he saw a lot lying on the ground taking in the rain. He trotted over to the pony napping and stretched his wing over him to cover him from the rain. "hey, you're going to catch cold like that..." He said smiling over him.

"Haha, catch a cold? That'd certainly be something. Nah, I'm fine. I'm actually a weather Pegasus, and I made this storm. Not many ponies like the rain like I do, and it doesn't rain too often. I figured I'd enjoy it while I could."

Cobalt gave out a hearty laugh, smiling upwards towards the towering grey Pegasus.

"I'm assuming you don't like the rain either? Though if you do, care to have a seat and give company to a lonely colt?"

His smile was small, simple, and genuine. He could go for someone to enjoy the gentle showers with him for a while. He was growing almost giddy at the prospect of making a friend, though this wasn't expressed outwardly. The Pegasus tilted his head at a slight angle, patting the ground beside him for the other to take a seat and enjoy the show which was the thunderstorm.

A sudden flash of light streaked through the sky, followed by the rolling sound of thunder. It was a very low, tame noise. So much so that it was to the point of relaxing to even to those most inclined to dislike storms.

Planting herself on the porch panting heavily from flying through the rain - it wasn't that Mist dislike the rain, it's was only certain type of rain showers like thunderstorms for one. She can't take them so much - as a young filly, she had one bad experience with that bad weather. Even living in a cloud based city, it wasn't pretty. Thank pony, I made it... Mane and tail soaked to the merry, adjusting her glasses as the lens was wet shaking off some water from her body.

Mist quickly searches through her bag for the key finally spotted them but without a fair warning, a suddenly flash of lightning following it up with a ramble of thunder, she quickly let out a frightening scream curling up like a ball.

"AHHHHHHHH!! ...Oh god.. no.. n-no..! Not now..." she shakes in fear hearing another one keeping herself under the roof outside.

Life though about that for a little. "I guess that someponies walk in the rain, and others just get wet!" he laughed and lay down next to the weather pony.

Once the light of flash went through the sky, life screamed a bit at the load deafening noise of the thunder. "Oh my goddesses I'm sorry! He had just realized that he had yelled out. "I have a noise problem..." He said taking a vile of liquid from no where and swallowing the fluid whole, not knowing what was happening to the new pony he had just met.

Cobalt's ears lowered to his head, him watching the other Pegasus scream in reaction to the weather. Pushing out a meek smile, he tried to shrug off the nearly blood curdling noise as nothing to worry about, being surprisingly successful. Though subconsciously, seeds were being sewn as less and less ponies appeared to like the rain.

The colt was probably thinking too far into it. So what, not a lot of ponies like the rain, it didn't mean he was entirely alone; Cobalt just had peculiar tastes was all. With a nod, he put on a more outgoing smile, and responded in the most steady voice he could muster.

"It's alright, I'm used to ponies having one issue or another with storms. That just seems to be the norm. Anyways, my name's Cobalt. Cobalt Magnus. What's yours if you'd not mind me asking?"

While the stallion spoke, a metaphorical glint flashed in Cobalt's eyes. What did that Pegasus just down whole? Maybe it was some sort of alcoholic beverage to help relax his nerves, or perhaps some sort of mystery serum that removed fear of noise.

"...C-calm down...! just calm down.. I just need to g-get inside and hid under the covers until the s-storm goes away..." trying to recover herself but forcefully grabbing the keys using her mouth shaking violently dropping them and quickly picking them up slowly opening the door with a loud sneeze. "...Come on now. Just-.. what's the point..? I hate the thunder.."

Mist trotting herself but stops halfway inside completely soaked down and up sighing sadly. ..Too bad that I acted so dumb in front of Life..

It was a small second before Mist figured out that her pen was missing - when the rain came down she was rushing to get home and end up forgetting about it. Cursing quietly, she drops her stuff onto the rug turning around taking a deep breathe. Mist flies back outside to that same place where she met Life seeing him with another green and dark blue Pegasus. "..H-hey again."

"It's not that I don't like the thunder, or lightning, its that I have a phobia of loud noises is all..." Life then suddenly heard the same voice from before.

He looked up with the long part of his fringe completely covering the right side of his face, soaking wet.

"h-hey what are you doing here?" He asked, he had completely forgotten about her pen.

"I-I can't stay here l-long but.. I forgot my pen and I was w-wondering i-if you seen it.." she spoke in a calm yet shaky manner not caring if her mane and tail gets more wet and glasses getting all watered up.

Soon after, another ramble of thunder and lightning came up a split second causing Mist to runs under Life's long wings shaking so much. She just wants to get her pen and head back home right now.

"...S-sorry.. I just.. hate thunderstorms..." she mutters keeping her head down covering her ears.

Life jolted up straight, oh yeah... her pen... He looked backwards and pulled out a pen with his wing handing it over to her. "Hey, do you need help getting home?"

Mist looked up seeing her pen then turned her attention to Life nodding slowly. "Y-yes.. please.." she slowly getting from under his wing turning around towards the tall Pegasus. "I-it's this way." pointing the direction with his hoof and trotted the way but stops waiting for Life.

Life was looking worried, seeing her face having a scared look. "Alrighty..." He followed behind her and stretched out his wings to their fullest. His wing span would have been around eight meters.

Mist took slow and cautious steps looking back seeing the tall Pegasus stretch out his wings and they are big. She let out some coughs and sneezes along the road groaning in frustration again as the duo head to Mist's house.
