Cupcake time!

Cage looked up first, spotting the blue mare as she walked in. He nudged Cloud casually, taking a bite of cake. Cloud's ear flicked awkwardly as she saw Calla, Iris calling back to her. "Isn't that the mare who's with Brawny?" Cage asked Cloud, who rolled her eyes. "Yes, that's her, now eat your cake." She giggled, watching him take an enormous mouthful before returning her attention to the newly arrived unicorn.

"Buying Brawny a cupcake," Calla explained, paying for her pastry and another. "He gets really hungry during wedding planning, and it's funny to see him yearning for food, but this time, I'm going to help him."

She giggled and pulled up a chair, sticking the cupcake in her bag and munching on the cookie.

"I don't believe I've net you, yet," Calla noted, nodding to the two other ponies. She stuck out a hoof to each in turn.

"McCallum Lily. Call me Calla, Lily, Cal, whatever. Magical extraordinaire, fashionista."

Iris laughed at Calla's introduction. "Magical extraordinaire? Seriously?" she giggled.

"Hey, why are you planning without me?" Iris pouted, "I thought I was the wedding planner. Which reminds me, I asked Cloud here to make the cake!" Iris added, gesturing to Cloudwing.

Cloud dipped her head, slightly embarrassed. "I'm Cloudwing, as Iris mentioned." She said with a gentle smile. " You didn't tell me you were doing wedding things!" Cage exclaimed. Cloud fanned her wing out to cover his face and continued to smile. "And that was Cherry Cage. He...needs to learn a few manners."

"Oh, you know," Calla started, blushing, "housing, attire, vows... foals...?"

She blushed even harder and looked down at her cupcake.

"Sorry," she apologized. "You didn't need to know that..."

Iris looked down, "Calla, you're alright with Cloudwing making the cake right?" Iris asked as she stretched her own wings, thinking of racing. "Ooh, maybe I can do a show at the wedding! Please Calla? Pretty please with a-" she turned and winked at Cloudwing, "cherry on top?" Iris pleaded, putting on her puppy dog eyes.

Cloud giggled as Iris pleaded with Calla and folded her wing back, revealing Cage, who had stolen a feather from between Cloud's feathers. He levitated it in front of him, then went back to eating cake, absent-mindedly making it float to Iris, then dropping it on her head. This made Cloud laugh harder, although she tried to cover it up.

Calla nodded.

"Of course," she agreed. "It's very kind of you to do so, Cloudwing. And of course you can put on a show, if you really want to, Iris."

Iris smiled and clapped her hooves like a child.

"Thanks Calla!" she said as she took another slice of cake.

Cloud shook away her giggled and nodded with a smile, glad she could be part of something as magnificent as this wedding. Cage continued to eat his cake, listening in but not showing that much interest.

"So..." Calla started. "We're coming up with Filly Names. Do you guys want to hear our choices?"

"Woah! Filly names? Already?" Iris asked, bewildered. "You guys aren't even married yet! I mean, yeh I'd love to hear, but seriously?"

Cloud took a bite of cake, nodding in answer to Calla. She's hardly spoken since she's shown up, continuing to uphold her shyness. With each bite she took, Cage finished a slice, wolfing down anything he could and acting like he didn't care what the mares were talking about.

"Um, we narrowed it down to Nikki, Water Lily, and Catherine..." she said, embarrassed. "I like Nikki, personally. We're planning on a filly."

"I like the name Nikki. Nikki Hooves. That's a great name." Iris said with a grin, "and of course, I'll be the godmother." She laughed, "excuse me for just a moment." She stood up and gracefully slid over to the counter and ordered a bottle of champagne. Upon returning to the table, the popped the top of it and poured the four a glass.

She raised hers up and said with a gleeful smile "to Brawny and Calla. May they have a fantastic life together!" And with that she drank her glass in one gulp.

Cage's ear twitched as he heard the word champagne drift from the counter while Iris ordered. As she returned to her seat, Cloud politely commented. "Nikki is a wonderful name." and finished off her cake slice. Once the glasses had been poured, Cage turned back to the group, levitating both his and Cloud's drink. "To the happy couple." He said, Cloud dipping her head in agreement. He then drank both glasses at once, sparing nothing for Cloud, who didn't seem to mind at all, in fact, she was just incredibly happy for Calla and Brawny, champagne or not.

"Thanks," Calla said, lifting the glass to her lips and sipping at the drink. "So, Cloudwing, what do you do for a living?"

Iris poured herself another glass of champagne and chugged it down just as quickly as the first.

"Oh, Calla, I don't have to write a speech as the Mare of Honor right?" she asked, wiping her chin of excess liquid.

Cloud was about to answer Calla's question when Iris asked her own. She shrank back a little, not looking too bothered, and let Iris finish.

"You don't have to write one," Calla said, "but you do have to stand up and say something about me, I think. I don't know... I'll have to read the wedding handbook again."

"You were saying?" she asked, turning back to Cloud.

Iris nodded and began racking her brain for things to say about Calla. She motioned for Cloud to continue as she thought.

Cloud's smile widened slightly as Iris motioned to her, gesturing for her to answer. "I run a stall at the market. Anything with cherries, I've got it." She ran her hoof on the edge of her plate, seemingly nerhous and shy as Cage cut two slices of cake and passed her one.

"That's cool," Calla said lamely, with no other word coming to her at the moment. "I give advice in general, and I'm also in charge of keeping the magical balance of Ponyville while I'm here. It's a but cumbersome, but it's what I love to do."

She poured herself a cup of tea from a teapot that had been sitting on a stove at home, waiting for her to come home, but she teleported it here and offered some to the other ponies.

Iris accepted the tea giddily, sitting up and pouring sugar into the cup.

"Calla is a bloody genius." she nodded, "And a whiz with magic. Sometimes makes me feel inferior, but then I remember, I'm awesome!"

She grinned as she sipped her tea, setting the cup on the table lightly, not wanting to break it.

Cloud continued to smile, although her eyes had lost their sparkle. She felt inferior to these ponies, running a stall is nothing compared to finding someone who saved you, or keeping the magical balance of ponyville. She was a spec of dust, nothing more. Slowly, she moved to take the cake slice, but had lost her appetite and slumped a little in her chair.
