A new Beginning

Solaris began by picking up wrappers and clothes from under the couch. Bending over to look under, Solaris started humming a happy tunento herself with her tail raised happily.

Burn hovered about cleaning here and there. Before he knew it the room was cleaned. Burn looked around at the room. "Thanks Sol." He said happily before giving her a small kiss.

Solaris blushed her deepest shade of red ever when Burn called her Sol, it was an old nickname she used to have, a key to her nervousness. "Y-your welcome." She said softly.

Burn looked at Sol. She was blushing again. Burn laughed, "You ok?" he asked. "You look a bit embarrassed."

(Lol good job for that! I gotta read Burns one of these days.)

Solaris gave a shy smile, "I-I'm fine! Umm... yeah." She stuttered nervously.

Burn frown slightly. "You don't sound fine." he said a bit worried that something he said or did had upset her.

Realizing her behavior, Solaris gave her head a small shake and looked at Burn with sincerity. "I am fine, its the nickname you used, I haven't heard it since I was a filly. It used to be really embarassing." she explained.

Burn looked at her. "Embarassing good, or embarassing bad? Because I can stop." he said feeling a bit bad about it.

"Embarassing...good?" Solaris giggled, trying to ease the tension.

Burn shot her a warm smile again. "Good." He looked around the room wondering what to do next. There wasn't much to do at home. It was rather quiet. "So what would you like to do? Not that there's much I can offer."

Solaris gave the question some thought before answering, "I honestly have no idea... I'm content with anything you may want to do." she said softly.

Burn looked at Sol. "Well..." He said puzzled as to what she meant by that.

Solaris shook her head again and gave a smile. "What I mean is that if you had anything planned before you met me, you can go ahead and do it" She explained, giving Burn a loving nuzzle.

Burn nuzzled her back before responding. "Well I was just going to get some sleep." He yhan had an idea. "How about I take you out somewhere tomorow?" He asked.

Solaris smiled. "Sure! Its a date then." She said excitedly.

Burn laughed at her excitment. "You bet!" He replied.

Solaris giggled back and thought of something. "Well... you go ahead and get some sleep, i'm gonna see if I can get a job. Any suggestions? " she asked hopefully.

Burn didn't have a job himself. "Nope sorry." He frown looking at Sol. "I wish you luck." Burn kissed Sol on the cheek before going to bed. Mabey I should get a job too. I'll soon run out of bits if I don't.

Solaris sighed, but it quickly turned into a blush when he kissed her. She gave him a flirty smile before heading for the door. "Thanks Burn." She said softly while watching him head for bed.

1 DAY LATER 1PM AT BURN'S HOUSE

Solaris came home late last night from some hardcore job searching, and didn't even say anything to Burn when she came in. As a result, Solaris is currently sleeping in late, wrapped up in a cute ball with the covers draped over her.

Burn looks at Sol sleeping. "She looks so cute when she's asleep..." He said to nopony. "Better let her sleep." He smiled trotting off to the kitchen to pack for the surprise he had planned.

Solaris' s left ear twitched, and she smiled in her sleep as if she had heard him. She continued to dream... about Burn... and their future.

As Burn finished packing for the date he set a basket by the door. He went into the bedroom and nudged Sol softly. "Hey Sol? You alive in here?" He asked playfuly.

Solaris awoke to her coltfriends face in front of her. She gave him a soft and passionate kiss on the lips. When she pulled away, she smirked, "Does that answer your question?" She teased back.
