Body:Dark grey, fairly tall for her age.

Age (Baby,adult): Child (about the age of the CMC)
Personality: A horribly shy pony, and is afraid of pretty much anything even remotely intimidating (Though she is especially scared of dragons). She has a secret dream of being a pretty princess, and despite being so unsocial she always wanted a friend. She looks up to her sister thinking everything she does is cool. She tends to sing when she thinks she is alone (and is rather good at it). She doesn't talk much when around strangers usually responding with nodding or shaking her head.
Likes: Her sister, night, dark, princesses, flowers, dresses, pancakes, singing, pianos, bats, rock and roll, making costumes.
Dislikes: Strangers, being stared at, daylight, mean ponies, dragons, being alone.

History: Silent grew up in the slums of Manehatten both her parents, and her older sister Shadowfax, comes from a long family tree of bat ponies, that sadly have been dropping in numbers lately. Because of her unusual appearance she was frequently either bullied or feared by most of the ponies in the place. She got a great fear of dragons when her father told her stories about how they kidnapped princesses, and burned down villages.  Her parents later died, and it was unknown if it was an accident or something else entirely. Her sister Shadowfax was her only relative, and she moved in with her in Canterlot. This was a unusual but at the same time a amazing place for Silent, she had never seen such a clean place in her life, and ponies around here seemed a bit more familiar with batponies than the ponies in Manehatten. But all of course her school was not as kind, she still got bullied by the other kids in class, and she became even more isolated, but she used her time alone to practice playing piano while singing.

Example RP segment: Silent walked down the streets of Manehatten, and spotted a colt bullying a filly, Silent tried not to get involved, and sneak past this entire scene, but unfortunately the colt sensed her presents and turned to face Sonar, and snapped "What are you looking at?" Silent backed away slowly, and responded in a voice that was barely audible "I'm not looking at anything, I will just be going on my way..." "Eew what the hay are you?; some kind of freak?" the colt said as he pointed and laughed at Silent. She got tears in her eyes, and said "No I'm not!, leave me alone!" Silent ran away from the colt, and went home to her parents for comfort. (this is pre Canterlot)

I'm no mod, but this is looking pretty good! The only thing I would say about this app is that in the thread where they agreed upon having batponies being a species able to make your oc: https://mlp-fim-oc-rp.rpg-board.net/t1855p15-batpony-civil-rights-movement-allowing-them-in-rp-use , they agreed upon a restricted yes, saying that they shouldn't be a batpony "just because," and they need to be in the lunar guard. I don't know if being related to an already existing batpony oc counts under "just because" or not. See what the mods/admins think.

Even if explicit permission was given by Blind Side, your OC has to make use of being a bat pony, and not as Intel stated and Sunny has just said, "just because."

For example, if Silent Star has a special talent, it would have to be related to how she is a bat pony, making it special to her abilities as one.
Similarly, if she had a job (mostly likely one that would lead or have stemmed from her special talent) it would have to be tailored/well-suited to her bat pony abilities.

To put it simply; think carefully about how your OC has to be a bat pony in order for the character to work.

How about the simple fact that it's the reason why she is shy to begin with?, And how the hay is she supposed to get a "bat pony" related job at her age? XD. don't take this the wrong way of course.

Anyhoof I should explain why she needs to be a bat pony, the simple reason is that the appearance of a bat pony is unusual in Equestria, and because of that social interactions will be more of a challenge, which causes many more scenarios, and therefore more interesting rp. The character itself is much too young to get a job based on her species, but seeks to find out what her destiny is. Now you might say that she could just have been a "odd" pony, but even those are common in Equestria, and would not have as much trouble in a daily basis. If she ever grows up on the forum she would of course most likely join the Luna Guard, but until then there is only really rp reasons why she has to be a bat pony. Me and Shadow simply thought the it was a good idea to give her bat pony a sister and I don't see why not. I will of course scrap this character if needed but I don't believe I need to explain further why she should stay.

The reason for the questioning is that bat pony OC's are heavily restricted, so they need to be thorough and detailed.

Your explanation for the reason to be a bat pony suffices. However, you should add an origin as to why she is a bat pony, i.e. why she has bat wings?
Since Silent Star is a filly, the most plausible explanation for this is genetics.

Add this and I'm sure your OC will be approvable.

Is it a bad answer I just assume she was born this way?. I mean there is no reason why that would not be the case, and it seems more likely than anything else, and I would think her parents are bat ponies as well.

Well, there is no official origin for bat ponies and one popular theory is that a pony who qualifies to be one of Luna's royal guards are transformed by magic.

But I digress, Silent's parents being bat ponies will be fine. Please add that to your OC's app, then it can be approved.
