Drink, drink and more drink!

A lavender pony walked to the tavern door, heaving a sigh before gripping a bunch of white bags in her teeth and busting in to the tavern. She was surprised to see little ponies here. Ponyville wasn't anything like home! Where were the drunks, the bartenders giving young ponies drinks? Manehattan slums were much different to the light-hearted Ponyville. She wandered up to the bar, setting her bags on the counter, and sitting on one of the stools. "Hello?" she asked in her up-beat voice, peering cautiously over the bar to see a huge array of branded bottles and cups. "Wow." she gasped quietly. These ponies certainly knew the popular ones. In Manehattan there was cheap, low-quality booze that gave you a terrible stomach-ache after one sip. She had drank by herself in her room back at home, but she thought this may be a good opportunity to learn new ponies, after all, most of them came here one time or another. She waited for anypony to come and began using her magic to pop a pink sweet into her mouth.

"Can i get you something?" Said a cream colored and blue maned pony from behind the counter. She did not look up, instead keeping her eyes on the glasses she was polishing. Glasses that probably didn't need to be polished anymore.

"Oh, just a glass of Coca Cola, please. I've brought these," Candy said, using magic to lift ornatley decorated bowls full of colourful and dark candy. "The black bowls are Liqueor Candies and the yellow ones are regular candies. I thought you could let customers help themselves to them as they... drink, I guess." Candy smiled hopefully, casting a quick glance at the 20 small bowls of candy.

Shala blinked at the 20 bowls of candy. The 20 bowls of liquor candies. She stared at them completely dumbfounded for was seemed like several minutes before speaking.

"....You can put liquor in candy?...Who are you again?" She said, rather blown away with amazement.

"I'm Candy Spark, owner of Sparking Sweets," the lavender mare introduced herself, producing 15 bowls of normal candy from her second bag. "Try this one, I have a feeling you'll like it!" She pointed a hoof to one of the black bowls that held a black and brown striped bottle-shaped candy. It was whiskey and held a liquid centre of whiskey too.

Shala looked to the even more massive number of candies. She didn't know if this was a trick or a blessing. Hesitantly she magicked up a candy and sampled it. Almost instantly she ate the rest of it and took another.

"You have no idea what you have done to me..." Shala said between chews.

I'm going to get so fat...

Candy smiled joyfully as Shala ate. "Oh, glad you like them, 'cause I made this range especially for the Tavern! There's also thiis one," she said slowly, looking at the twenty bowls before saying aha as her eyes came across a cream candy. They all had the same liquid centre with the actual drink in it, this one was champange and the bowl was only half full. She pointed a hoof to the bowl and smiled happily at Shala.

Shala finished the last candy she was on before hesitantly trying the other one. She loved it, and clearly showed it when she ate several at once.

I am so screwed.

"These are the most wonderful things since the creation of alcohol." She said between bite.

Candy's cheecks flushed a deep red and a huge smile stretched across her face. "Really?" she squeaked, barley able to speak. She took great pride in her candy because it was all her own recipies and good ingredients. "Maybe I you could pop over to my shop some time and I can give you any requests. I numbered the bottom of the bowls so you can say the exact one if you run out."

This pony is going to ruin my health and I'm going to love every moment of it.

"I won't forget it." She said, munching on a few different other kinds. Shala would have to try to stop herself eventually or she would be feeling terrible the rest of her shift.

Candy gently pushed the bowls into sections of five. "Maybe we could hang out sometime, make some alchol sweeties?" She askled, hoping the barmaid would say yes.

Oh no, she is going to kill me. Somepony save me.

"You are going to be my destruction." Was all Shala had to say. She gobbled a few more, starting to feel a buzz coming on.

Candy sippede herd drink and ate a champange sweet. "Maybe you should back away from them, don't want to get drunk on your shift!" she told Shala a calm and persuasive voice as she gently guided Shala's hand away from the bowls. She then pulled out a light brown bowl with lots of different coloured candies in it. "These are non-alcholic drinks, but taste like the black bowls, just maybe not as good."

Just as soon as Shala's hoof was pulled away, her horn magicked over another and went to her mouth. "Just a few more..." She did not really seem to care for the non-alcoholic ones.

Candy nodded happily and sipped her cola. "So, do other ponies come here?" she asked, peering around the empty room cautiously. She hadn't met many ponies at all during the week. She stayed in the backroom of her shop from Monday to Friday for work purposes but she lived in Manehattan on weekends.

Shala was starting to think she may have had too much candy as she weaved in place. "...Mmm...Yeah. Not until later in the evening though." She hiccuped, now sure she had too much.

Candy nodded awkwardly and ate a dandilion she had in her sachel. She liked Shala, and Shala liked her sweets.

Shala reached for a glass to resume her washing, but stumbled over and fell on her flank. Oh great, i had a lot more than i thought. And this sugar is going to make me all twitchy crazy.

"Are... you okay?" Candy asked anxiously when she saw Shala fall over. "Maybe you need tp take your shift off early, if your feeling dizzy. Or are you just tipsy from my sweets?" Candy put a hoof to her chin and jokingly said, "Why am I not surprised?" Candy looked at the empty seat beside her. "Couldn't you call a friend to fill in for you and we could get drunk on sweets together?" she laughed, patting a seat beside her confidently.

Shala waved a hoof at the ideas. "Nono...I'm fine..hic. Don't want my boss to fire me or anything." She attempted to get up and stumbled again.

I'll just sit and bar tend then... She used her magic to pick up a glass and found it very hard to hold it still. All the sugar was making her shaky.

Candy nodded awkwardly, having nothing to say. She just sipped her cola and ate another sweet. She sighed gently before resting her head on her hooves.
