!!!READ THIS!!! 200 Member Celebration !!!READ THIS!!!

Firstly, a big thank you to all the members who have signed up and made it possible to reach 200 members.

Would you guys like it if we, as the 200 Member Celebration, host the
Grand Galloping Gala, with the Mane Six, Princesses and Canon Charicters

We would create a new posting area, in which we would make topics for all of the different areas in the Canterlot Castle. We would also have decoration topics before the celebration. We would pick a luck 10 members to RP the Mane Six and Canon Charicters, then admins would be the princesses. If we get enough 'Yes, I'd love this!' votes, we will go into further detail explaining the process. We will also try to contact the inactive members, telling them if the event is on, and the date and time it will be held at.

Sounds fun, but it can't be a canon topic. We all already agreed on not using canon characters and the mane cast directly or any at all in canon RP. As an AU topic, it would be great though.

I think making different areas just for the event is a bit too much. More than one topic sure, but as the Winter Wrap Up event went, things got too confusing too fast and killed it. I think the set up before the event is not necessary since it would only have interest for a page before being dead. Other than that though it could be fun to RP.

I think i already know whom i would get among the mane cast.....

Personally, I think it would be better if we used the OCs that would be invited to the Gala over the Mane 6 and the other characters. While Kore does a wonderful Rarity, I am not sure if we can pull the other canon chars justice. I know there are some of us who won't be satisfied with any non-show interpretation, let alone an interpretation by a mediocre roleplayer.

Besides, the Mane 6 already ruined one Gala, why can't it be our turn?

I agree: the Mane 6 are too sacred. I am not saying nobody's worthy enough to play them, but it would be better to leave the cannon alone and avoid the risk of going against it.

If we are so worried about the idea of not having the Mane 6 and Celestia at the event, we can just all pretend they are in some other area of Canterlot, taking care of a friendship problem. After all, the regular ponies/unicorns/pegasi are well known to be oblivious to some problems when it is convenient for the Mane 6 to prove their friendship :P

Anyway: I'd still be very glad to take part in this and meet my fellow 199 members :P

But I agree with Nova, we should probably leave cannon characters alone to avoid complications. I would love having my OC's at the Gala. Would it be alright if I roleplayed both of them at the same time?

I think this would be awesome! Having canon characters though, i dont no, but i agree with intel, the mane 6 had their gala shenanigans, now its our turn.

Though I would jump at any opportunity to portray Pinkie Pie, I agree with everyone else. The canon characters are a little too sacred. Besides, they would draw attention away from everyone's wonderful OC's!

As majority rules, no canon characters. I will sent an e-mail to all of our members and try to get those inactive, active for this event :) Post any more suggestion if you have any :D

I think we have a decent number commited already. If not too many. Anymore than 5 in a topic and it gets very difficult to keep track of. And more members in a topic also means that if one falls out and stops posting, everyone is caught up. It will have to be split up into sections if we get as many as there are pledging.

Also, Canvis, could you maybe interface with the other admins and mods before changing and doing other things? We usually get a bit of a group consensus before we put things into action.

I think it'd be awesome to do a big celebration! Although I have some worries about having to many people at the same place at the same time, this would be awesome!
