Midnight Brawl (1x1 with Delix)

Hawthorne entered the tavern, the large Pegasus stallion looking around at all the ponies talking and drinking with their friends. He narrowed his eyes slightly and sat by the bar, ordering a hard cider.

Iron sat in a corner of the bar, taking a sip of her drink and looking around the other ponies

Hawthorne flicked his ears as he finished his cider, before he got a nasty look from the bartender.

"Pay up." The bartender said, narrowing his eyes.

"I have no money." Hawthorne said casually, putting the glass down on the counter with a thud.

"What the hay?! Why'd ya come in here then?!" The bartender snapped.

"I came here for a drink." Hawthorne said flatly.

"You really are a featherbrain.... Boys! Let's teach this loser a lesson!" The bartender called as some unicorn thugs approached Hawthorne.

"So that's how it's gonna be..." Hawthorne said softly, carefully eyeing the stallions surrounding him.

Iron looked around the bar and focused on a stallion surrounded by a few other stallions. She quickly trotted towards them "Al-right... what in the haystack is going on here?" she said, pushing the stallions aside

The bartender laughed. "This wise guy thinks he can just waltz in here and order a drink without paying up." He snapped.

Hawthorne rolled his eyes slightly and took a deep breath. "Your voice is giving me a headache." He said to the bartender flatly. "Keep it down."

"Why you little-! Alright! Boys! Get in there beat 'im up!" The Bartender yelled.

The thugs pulled out switchblades and closed in, snickering and smirking.

Iron grabbed the hoof of one of the stallions and pushed it tightly, almost breaking it. He dropped the switchblade, Iron picked it up and held it infront of his throat "Is there any problem?" she snapped

Hawthorne took the chance incapacitate one of the other stallions by a kick to the face, sending the thug barreling through a window.

The other thug hit Irons arm with the knife but only a little scratch "AHH, you little-!" she yelled before kicking him in the stomach, he fell to the ground.
All the thugs were laying on the ground and the bartender was hiding behind the counter, Iron trotted to Hawthorne "Wow, that was a strong kick" she said

Hawthorne took a deep breath. "Thank you." He said in a deep, yet soft voice. "You weren't to shabby yourself."

Iron looked at the wound on her arm "Are you hurt?" she asked

Hawthorne looked at his legs, seeing some shallow cuts and a few bruises. "Seems that way, doesn't look to serious though." He said. "Nothing a first aid kit wouldn't solve."

"Im injured too, but just a little scratch.. those bastards got what they wanted" she said

Hawthorne nodded. "How about we get out of this place?"

"I'm Hawthorne." The bulky Pegasus stallion said, with a calm smile.

"Nice name... I think we should get outta here" she said

Hawthorne nodded. "Good idea, where to?"

"I actually don't have a home yet." Hawthorne said.

"You can sleep at my place if you want, I have a house in the Marketplace, next to my little brothers workshop" she said with a wink

Hawthorne blinked and dipped his head in thanks. "Thank you."

"Now come on, its getting cold out here" she said as they walked down the street.
Iron shivered a little in the cold night, walking next to Hawthorne

Hawthorne nodded and walked alongside the tall mare, flicking his ears and smiling.

Iron smiled and moved a little closer to Hawthorne "Im.. a little cold" she said

Hawthorne looked at her, a faint redness forming on his snout, he extended one of his massive wings and draped it over Iron's back. "Is that better?" He asked calmly.
