Ponyville (Neutral)

Ponyville is considered to be a Neutral zone, where both groups may post. There is no rotation in the neutral zone's so as to best represent the chaos of combat. Due to this, you must be clear as to who you are responding to. Your post is most likely to be long and have a quote or two. Once the entire battle has ended, would the pony who posted last please insert [END] on the bottom of the last post. This marks the point of where new combat begins.

Green Bolt turned to Dylgo and Firework.
"Ok, So here's my idea. I go fly ahead and see what's happening so that we know what we're up against, while you two walk towards Ponyville formulating what we'll need to do next. When I return I will give you all a rundown of what's happening, and we will figure out what to do on the march there. Sound good?"

"Sounds good," Firework agreed, settling her fireworks bag onto her back. She was nervous about going into a U.A.E controlled town, but she wouldn't let her new comrades see that. Hopefully the town guard would not check in her bag. Who would suspect a Unicorn of treason anyway?

She turned towards Dylgo, saying "Let's get going then."

Dylgo nodded at Bolt's idea. It was a much better plan than any she could ever come up with. Dylgo was really nervous at this point. she had good reason to be as well. what was she doing here anyway? She's a racer, not a fighter! but there was no going back now.

"Yeah." she said nervously. "let's go."

"Alright, you two formulate a plan, or just sit and sniff flowers, since we don't know what anything is like. I'll fly ahead real quick and check everything out."
Green Bolt saluted and dashed off, leaving a thick green trail behind.

Surprisingly for him, Fireseeker arrived in a pegasus chariot with his military escort in toe, landing in the town centre. It was the first time he had even travelled in such luxury, which made him uncomfortable since he usually flew everywhere himself.

Even more uncomfortable was the rifle slung over his back. Fireseeker hated being so close to a weapon that he may actually have to use against another living pony. It felt like a dead weight strapped to his back.

From the air, Ponyville looked completely run by a garrison of UAE soldiers. Stepping off of the chariot, Fireseeker could see he was correct. He had little need for his escort.

"You can wait and guard the chariot. I won't be too long," he told them as he trotted away to find the general in charge.

"... go to Ponyville and remove any and ALL rebel pests hiding out in the town. Kill or capture at your own discretion." Shadow read the last of the letter aloud to himself as he hovered over the town hall. 'Wow, they even emphasized "all", I guess that means this little hassle is more than meets the ear.' He threw the letter away, letting the wind do with it as it pleased. It seemed to Shadow that the UAE really doesn't like the rebels, and the rebels seem to feel the same way about the UAE. He himself didn't have any bad blood with either faction, it just happens that the UAE were the first to contract him into this "Special Task Squad."

Shadow Whisper was wearing his bulky, but surprisingly light crossbow on his back along with a leather bag that held his ammunition. In addition to his black suit with the squad's insignia, he also wore a belt which held a number of daggers. He didn't wear any armor since it hindered him from movement and going full speed, and that's no good considering his advantage over most is his agility in the air.

He went down on the ground to search for any sign of rebels, but all he got were questioning looks from the residents and the garrisoning soldiers. A few moments later he spotted Fireseeker, their recon, dragging along a rifle. 'Hope he knows how to use that...' He acted like he didn't see him and went on to walk down the road, receiving the same looks where ever he went. "Perhaps the shades were a bit much..." He laughed to himself and set the shades on his head before continuing to walk.

Shadow saw a stallion with a heavy bag and decided that that warranted a quick search. He grabbed him by the shoulder and, with a voice of authority said, "UAE. Open the bag." When the stallion refused, Shadow quickly pulled out his three-shot crossbow, pointing it at the stallion. "Don't make me ask again. But of course, if you run, then we both can have some fun." The stallion hesitantly opened the bag and emptied it's contents. Finding nothing of importance there, Shadow gave a nod then walked away, keeping his scarlet red eyes alert for any movement.

Firework paused just outside the town, her hooves planted alongside Dylgo's.

"We should wait here for Green Bolt," said Firework, settling in for a wait. "We may as well observe the town from here while he gathers up a report."

Fireworks eyes alighted upon a heavily armed, black-suited Pegasus inspecting a large stallion's bad. She retreated further into the shadows, nudging Dylgo back alongside her.

"Getting my modified fireworks into town may prove a bit difficult," Firework said. There was a chance they would allow her to keep them, but better to play it safe.

"My ID shows me as belonging to the upper-class of Unicorns. If they ask about my bad, I can just show it to them. Right?" asked Firework, turning to Dylgo for her opinion.

Dylgo followed closely behind Firework as she thought of possible plans. by the time they reached the outskirts of town, however, she hadn't managed to think up any good ones. Stopping next to Firework, Dylgo looks out at the town. spotting a black suited pegasus inspecting a stallion's bag, she couldn't shake the feeling that she knew him.

Before she could place it, Dylgo was being brought back into the shadows. "I think so. it depends on if they're expecting us or not. but This is all just speculation. I could be wrong." Dylgo hoped they weren't expecting them. her bandages would draw far too much attention.

Green Bolt dashed back outside the town, quickly spotting the ponies hiding in the shadows and joined them silently. Green Bolt lowered his voice to a whisper.
"Boy will this be an adventure. I mean, that place is PACKED with UAE soldiers. I don't know how we will get around town, or even getting INTO it will be a magic trick."
Green Bolt nudged to the unicorn's bag.
"And those things ain't gonna be a helpful thing getting in. I don't even know anypony here so I can't drop them in or anything. I mean I kind of know Pinkie Pie but only because whenever I stop by here I get chocolate milk..." Green Bolt realized he was rambling. He shook his head.
"Anyway, basically it's heavily guarded, don't know why a country folk town where most of the food source is apples is of such importance, unless this is low security. Then thank Celestia we're not going to Manehattan or Canterlot."

Having collected the garrison information from the general in charge, Fireseeker left the town hall, carefully slipping by his escort. He hated being surrounded so closely by armed ponies, especially those who insisted it was for his protection. Besides, he had other work to do.

With the military information tucked safely into his saddlebags, Fireseeker head out to Sweet Apple Acres. Apparently, the UAE's main interest in the earth pony town was its fertile earth and apple harvesting. He needed to collect statistics on future harvests and current inventory.

Fireseeker left the crowded town and began walking down the dirt road to the farm on his own.

Dylgo was laying in the shadows when a different voice bellowed at them. hesitating, she gets a quick look at the black suited pegasus. the blue wings, the white stripes around the hooves, and finally the tinted glasses. wait a minute... "I know you..." she found herself saying. "You saved my life out in Whitetail Woods." She didn't know why she was saying all of this. her instincts had taken over.

"Yeah, you put a splint on my wing and took me to the Hospital. If it wasn't for you, I'd be stuck out there." She said, looking into the suited pegasi's eyes. "You left before I could thank you." immediately after saying all of this, her mind silently raced about what was happening. had she just blown everything for them? There's nothing else she can do but wait and see now.

He slowly folded up his wings and silently opened up a small path in the bushes just incase he needed to bail.

"Alright. Open the bag."

'Darn it!' Firework thought, taking several steps back. 'Perhaps this situation can still be salvaged. But it seems as if Dylgo knows this pony... Maybe she can somehow talk our way out of it?'

Firework decided to wait and see what came of Dylgo's revelation. But just in case, she magically pulled her ID out of a side-pouch, ready to present it.

Fireseeker had collected the information from Sweet Apple Acres and was trotting back into town. He was almost ready to depart when he heard loud voices coming from nearby. Curious, he walked towards the noise until he spotted the source.

A group of ponies were gathered in a shadowy alley, one of which Fireseeker recognised. It was Shadow Whisper, the mercenary from the STS meeting. What in the name of Celestia was he doing?

Feigning confidence, Fireseeker strode towards them, hoping his UAE uniform and rifle slung over his back made him look made authoritative than he felt.

"What's going on here?!" he demanded, hoping to solve this matter peacefully.

"Ah! Thank goodness. A true UAE officer! This here Pegasus is demanding to search my things! It's outrageous!" said Firework, putting on her most snooty Canterlot voice. "A lady should not have to give up her privacy just because a few ruffians could be galavanting about town."

Firework cringed inwardly, listening to herself speak. She sounded like her mother. Blegh!

Dylgo's ears drooped as her hopes of finally thanking the stallion who saved her life were dashed. Dylgo tried to say something several times. something. anything. but she couldn't do it. Dylgo's mind raced as she tried to think of something to do. no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get over this. He was the reason she's here today instead of being dead alone in a forest.

as the initial reaction wore off, a uniformed UAE officer showed up. there was nothing else Dylgo could do other than to keep looking sad while Firework did the talking. Hopefully the sight of a depressed injured mare would pull some emotional strings.

"What are you babbling on about? AND YOU! Out of that bush, or better yet, stay there and give me a reason to shoot!"
Green knew his cover was blown and dying for a good cause is nice, but not this early. He slowly squeezed out of the bushes trying not to make a whole lot of noise, not to interrupt any of the conversations or make any sudden noises.
"Sorry sir, I have never dealt with the law and so you scared me into the bushes." Green Bolt stood firmly attempting to make it look like he had no fears. Which was semi-true.

Fireseeker mentally cursed the situation. On one hoof he had a frightened pegasus, a unicorn who sounded so like she got lost from Canterlot, and a pegasus who looked like they'd ben hit by a train. How much harm could they do?

On the other hoof, Shadow Whisper had a point. He was part of the UAE, which meant being soft wasn't always the best option, even if it was the option he would like to take. Fireseeker groaned inwardly, hating this with every second. Why was he even part of this war?

Addressing the unicorn, he said, "Ma'am, I suggest you comply and show us the contents of your bag. I sure we can all be on our way soon without any hassle."

"Hmph. I suppose there's no room for proper manners during war," Firework sniffed, lifting the bag over her shoulders magically and placing it down in front of her. "But there's nothing to get worked up about. They're just fireworks for a celebration going on soon."

Firework began to get a little nervous at this point. What if they noticed the fireworks had been tampered with? She could probably activate her smoke one before the UAE went on the offensive, but that would leave her with no explosives for a time.

'Oh well, best to just wait and see,' Firework thought.
